Contains Curoxyl® 42, a patented Benzoyl Peroxide blend sourced from the USA for maximum efficacy. Designed to penetrate deeper into the skin without irritating and drying. The active component of a patented dispersion blend, it penetrates directly into the inflamed pore to eliminate acne-causing bacteria, dissolve pore blockages and reduce swelling. This targeted action is one reason Benzoyl Peroxide is good for acne, especially for active inflammatory breakouts.

Salicylic Acid 1%

How quickly does this acne spot corrector work?

Most people see visible reduction in spot size and redness within 3 days. Complete surface healing takes 7 days, while also preventing post-acne marks. This is significantly faster than letting acne heal on its own, which can take 2-3 weeks.

Can I use this acne spot corrector all over my face?

No. This is a spot treatment designed for targeted application on active breakouts only. Full-face application can cause unnecessary dryness and irritation on the skin.

Why only at night?

Benzoyl Peroxide is best used at night because it can make skin more sensitive and reactive to sun exposure, increasing the risk of dryness, irritation, and barrier damage during the day. Nighttime application gives it 8+ hours to work without UV interference and irritation risk.

Will this bleach my pillowcase?

Benzoyl Peroxide can bleach fabric. Use white or light-colored pillowcases, or place a white towel over your pillow while treating active spots. The amount in this formula is less likely to transfer than higher-strength BPO treatments, but it's still possible.

My skin is peeling around the spot. Is this normal?

Some light flaking is normal while using Benzoyl Peroxide for acne, as the spot heals and skin cells turn over. However, if you're experiencing significant peeling, dryness or irritation, you may be either using too much product or applying it too frequently. Reduce to every other night and ensure you're moisturizing after application.

Can I use this with my prescription retinoid?

Yes, but not on the same night. Use this spot treatment on nights you're not using retinoids. Using retinoids and Benzoyl Peroxide on the same night can excessively irritate and dry out the skin, compromising barrier function and increasing sensitivity.

Can I layer moisturizer over this?

Yes, and you should. Wait 2-3 minutes for the spot treatment to absorb fully, then apply Repair + Nourish Moisturizer over your entire face, including treated areas. The moisturizer helps your skin tolerate the actives better.

I have a big event tomorrow. Will this help overnight?

It can reduce inflammation and redness significantly in 24 hours, making the spot less noticeable. But for best results, start treating as soon as you feel a breakout forming (when it's still under the surface). Early intervention prevents the spot from fully developing.

Does this work on cystic acne?

It can help reduce inflammation and prevent secondary infection in cystic breakouts, but deep hormonal acne and cystic acne often require identifying and treating root-cause triggers for better management.

Can I use this on body acne?

Yes. The formula works the same way on back, chest, and shoulder acne. Apply after showering on clean, dry skin. For body acne, you'll need more product since spots tend to be larger. Be aware of potential fabric bleaching on clothing.

How soon can I reapply if the spot isn't gone?

Continue nightly application until the spot is completely healed. Don't increase frequency to twice daily thinking it'll work faster. This will just irritate your skin. Healing takes time. If a spot isn't responding after 7 days, it might be cystic (too deep for topicals) or another skin condition that needs a different approach.

Can I use this as prevention in areas that break out frequently?

Is this safe for sensitive skin?

If you have sensitive skin, do a patch test first. Apply to one spot and wait 24 hours. If no excessive irritation occurs, you can use it more widely. Start with an alternate-night application rather than nightly. Sensitive skin needs a slower introduction of any actives.

Does this expire?

Yes. Shelf life is 6 months after opening. Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight to maintain stability.

Is it recommended to be used on a popped or bleeding pimple?

It’s better to avoid applying Benzoyl Peroxide directly on a freshly popped or bleeding pimple because the broken skin barrier can make it sting and cause irritation. Wait until the skin has closed over (usually by the next day), then resume spot treatment.

Can teenagers use this?

Yes. It's suitable for anyone over 13 years of age.
